Does Littlebird work offline?
No. The Littlebird app runs on your computer, but the memory it builds is encrypted and stored in the AWS cloud, so it needs a connection to do its work. For organizations that require everything to stay inside their own infrastructure, self-hosted deployments are available at the Enterprise tier.

This is worth stating plainly because it shapes who Littlebird is right for. The team is working to bring more processing local, but today, for individual and consumer users, Littlebird is cloud based. If you require a local-only system, Littlebird may not be the right fit yet.
What the cloud model buys you is a memory that is always available and protected consistently: AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, TLS 1.3 on every connection, SOC 2 certification, and no training on or selling of your data.
If keeping data inside your own infrastructure is a hard requirement rather than a preference, the Enterprise tier's self-hosted deployment is the current path.
